New Research Article Published in the British Journal of Social Psychology
A new research article published in the British Journal of Social Psychology examines the psychological processes associated with individuals’ intentions to oppose organised crime collectively. The article reports on a study involving more than 2,000 participants from eight countries. The findings reveal that perceived state responsiveness is associated with a stronger sense of collective community efficacy, which, in turn, enhances intentions to engage in collective action against organized crime. However, the study also found that state responsiveness is linked to a reduced perception of threat, which indirectly lowers collective action intentions.
The article was co-authored by the Secret Power project research team.
